In her free time, Abby loves spending time with her family. She and her husband, Jordan, are high school sweethearts and are proud parents to two special-needs daughters, who are the greatest joys in her life. Abby finds inspiration in her family; she creates a supportive and loving environment both at home and in the salon.

Alex is a 33-year-old esthetician who brings a decade of experience to her practice. Having been in the spa industry since she was 18, Alex has developed a true passion for her work. She attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, until 2013 and has since honed her skills, specializing in eyebrow waxing and shaping. Alex is particularly fond of giving facials that incorporate relaxing massage techniques, helping her clients achieve both beauty and relaxation. When she’s not at the spa, you can find her teaching esthetics to new students!

Hi, I am April! I am a wife, girl mom, and a Memphis native.

My love for hair started in the nineties as I was cutting and coloring my Barbie’s hair with safety scissors and Crayola markers. Since those days I have completed over 2,500+ hours of education and received my license in 2020. I love making clients feel like the best version of themselves and helping people see their true beauty within. I am gentle and patient which makes me a great stylist for kids or clients that have a sensitive scalp.

I am certified in Dreamcatchers extensions specializing in I-tip and Handtied Weft methods. I also specialize in perms, keratin smoothing treatments, braiding and updos for weddings and your special events.

Daniel is the Daniel in the DanielShay's name.

Jennifer Adkins is a native Memphian with over 25 years of experience behind the chair. She is a third generation stylist and many of her memories as a child include being in a salon. Jennifer worked in MS until 2019 when she and her family moved back to Memphis. She first came to Daniel Shay’s as a client and immediately knew she wanted to join our team. She loves to do color, highlights, balayage, gray blending, and she loves a good before and after! Jennifer thinks it’s important for her clients to feel like a million bucks while they’re in her chair and when they leave the salon.

​Kirby has been in the beauty industry since 2006 and prides herself on doing what is best for her clients. Her foundation began in a year long apprenticeship at Daniel Shay’s after graduating from The Beauty Institute in Memphis. Kirby has gained the ability to perform the delicate balance of fulfilling each client’s individual styling desires while maintaining an open forum for self-expression and conversation. Her continual training classes have proven to be effective in keeping her up to date on the latest techniques, not only in color, but in cutting and styling as well. Kirby also specializes in hair extensions by Dream Catchers.Hair

Rachel loves he career at DanielShay’s and wouldn’t trade it for anything! Rachel started cosmetology her junior year of high school and fell in love with the beauty industry! While in school she got experience working in a salon in the Wolf-chase area of Memphis. She finished her education in cosmetology after high school at Plaza Beauty School. Rachel went through the training program at DanielShay’s which brings her to where she is today!

Rachel believes strongly in continuing her education, so she will be constantly updated on all the latest trends, techniques and technology! Rachel has worked numerous fashion shows and benefits as her way of giving back to the great city in which she resides!
